The Midlands leading comedy night, Bottle Rocket arrives in Derby with a stellar line-up designed to split sides.

The youngest comic ever to win the Perrier Award, for his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 1990, Sean Hughes is back. The star of Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC) and Sean’s Show (Channel 4). Sean’s dark, explosive style and quick-fire audience banter made him a household name.

Silk Mill: Derby Museums

Come along to the Silk Mill @ Festé - day and evening events

As part of Festé 2011, the Silk Mill will be open on Saturday the 24th for family activities. From 12noon onwards you can relax in the cafe, have a go at making a sea creature puppet - or help The Babbling Vagabonds build a giant Lion Fish for the Festé parade taking place in the evening.

You can also help solve a murder mystery puzzle using wallFour’s 50-player interactive digital projections. Showing at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm, The Case of the Missing Diamonds will have audiences screaming and shouting at each other as they make shared decisions to gather the right information and guess the correct answer to catch the culprit. Described by newsjacking specialist Urgent Genius as “Hyperbolic, interactive, innovative entertainment”, wallFour are wrapping up an international tour this month in their home town at Derby Feste. Running time approximately 40 minutes.

We will have face-painting and acoustic musicians throughout the day.

In the evening, as part of Derby Festé 2011 Lounge @Derby Silk Mill will be taking place on Saturday 24th September, close to Festé celebrations on Cathedral Green.

Join us for a dance, pick your own tunes with our resident DJs or get comfortable in the vintage lounge.
